He starts to panic as he quickly texts her back, the only thing he's thought of so far is "lost on land".]

she's blinking at the text on the screen before she starts thinking. did something happen to lloyd?! did he see something happen?! maybe that's why he's so concerned. that means--
[ early in the morning, in his mailbox today, Lloyd'll find a box of assorted chocolates, along with a note from one colette brunel. it reads, in shaky hand:
"Lloyd, Happy Valentine's Day! Apparently girls are supposed to give chocolates to really important people today, so... this is for you! I would've given it to you in person, but isn't it nice to get some mail in the morning? Maybe we can... um, talk a little bit after this?Actually... maybe we should stay apart for a little while.
I'mI'm not really sureI really Oh... I really made it all messy, huh? But-- this is thank you! For being myfriendbeing my family being there, always.
I mean, hello, lloyd. colette had been debating on this for a while, staring at the phone and wondering... how to word this. she had to do it, she had to do it, because she felt terrible about this entire thing.
so maybe a little bit later into the day, he's getting the following message: ]
[Lloyd is feeling a bit nervous when he receives the text, though he's mostly just happy to see Colette contacting him. Being apart from Colette for so long has been especially hard on him what with those confusing thoughts clouding his mind, and now that it's cleared up, he hopes it's the same for her.]
[ ... she actually feels horrible, to be honest, but she's just trying to put on a good face for everyone around her. sometimes it does work, and she does cheer up a bit, but when she gets to be alone she just thinks about how terrible she was to lloyd.
and she's tired, for some weird reason. a headache. and... ]
[He's relieved to hear that from her, but knowing Colette, she probably wasn't as "okay" as she was letting on. He really wanted to see her though, and she was feeling well enough to talk..]

[ Normally, the regains and notices have been pretty nonchalant in their delivery, other than their piercing punctuality and synchronization. This time, though, the delivery is a tad bit more aggressive.
A journal will come to you in one of two ways, depending on your house and its set up. If your character remembers, their gift for fulfilling the Christmas event was a key gifted to them on New Years, which attached itself to their keyring after they accepted it. And yet another if: if they remember they can open it with this key.
And if they open it, they'll find this. Checking back on it every once in awhile might be a good idea. ]
